CBSE clears rumours, no decision regarding postponing practical exams announced
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been receiving pressure from several students and parents in the past few days to postpone the board practical exams this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation across the country. Many rumours are also being spread on social media regarding the postponement of the CBSE board practical exams 2021. While addressing these rumours, an official from CBSE confirmed that no announcement regarding the postponement of the practical exams has been made by the board. As per media reports, a spokesperson from CBSE has stated that no news has been released regarding the postponement of practical exams and one should only believe announcements coming from official sources during these uncertain times. Though many students are calling for the postponement of the practical exams, several schools across the country have already conducted the CBSE board practical exams 2021 for students of classes 10 and 12 with several Covid-19 safety protocols. CBSE allows exam centre change In the light of the Covid-19 pandemic and how it displaced a lot of families in the past year, CBSE has allowed students of classes 10 and 12 to change their examination centres for both practical and theory exams through its official website. “It has come to the notice of the board that because of Covid-19 pandemic, students of Classes 10 and 12, along with their families, have shifted to some other city or country and therefore, they are unable to appear in the practical/theory exam from the school/ exam centre where the students are               registered for the board exams,” the notification read. It further added, “Looking into the problem, CBSE has decided to permit the change in the examination centre.” The provision to change the examination centre for the CBSE board exams 2021 was only available on the official website for a limited time. CBSE had also recently announced several changes in the board exam date sheet. As per the revised dates of the CBSE board exams 2021, the Physics and Applied Physics exam will now be held on June 8, 2021, for Class 12 students. Students who are set to appear for the CBSE board exams 2021, which are commencing from May 4, are advised to keep a regular check on the official website of the board, cbse.nic.in, for any news and updates regarding the exams.
